Our current committee members are: Angela, Linsey, Heather, Claire, Anna, Alison, Louise, Andrea and Nicola.

We openly invited all of the parents and carers of our dancers, to become a part of our Parents and Carers Committee in summertime 2025. The role these committee members play is extremely valuable to us. This focus area of our work is designed to be a safe space, where we meet bi-monthly, and communicate between meetings via our dedicated WhatsApp group.
The parents and carers of all of our dancers, are an extremely important part of our purpose and success. We maintain meaningful and regular contact with all of our parents and carers.

Many of our current committee members also play key roles in our classes, such as joining in with the creative work themselves, supporting our work, advocating for our work, or by taking treasured films and photography of our work. They all of course, play a key role also simply by advocating for and with our dancers around their individual needs, experiences and development as dancers.
Our committee meetings strive to:
- Ensure all members have opportunity for their say and input as to what’s going well, and what could develop.
- Help us build our plans for the present and future.
- Aid us significantly in steering our direction.
- Offer their perspectives and assessments around our impact, our achievements, and our milestones.
- Ensure our long term sustainability.
- Share perspectives around the work we are providing.
- Explore and cooperatively problem solve any barriers our community may face.

Our events and performances bring parents and carers together with pride and celebration. We are looking to arrange more social opportunities in 2026 in collaboration with our parents and carers.
“From my very first contact with Echo Performing Arts, I was struck by the warm welcome, the positive energy and the eagerness to celebrate the performers as individuals.
I realised this organisation was offering something holistic and exciting. Lydia and Sarah have so many ideas as to how to take their project forward with the emphasis always on inclusion. I would love to play my small part in the journey and to witness the joy and creativity that growing numbers of performers will be able to find through the project.” – Louise – committee member, and Mother of our dancer Olivia.
If you are a parent or carer of one of our dancers, and you would like to join in, please do approach us in person or by email, should you ever want to join the committee. We value your input and support to Echo Performing Arts hugely. We always offer the option for parents and carers to attend the meetings via video call, as well as the opportunity to meet us in person.
